Associate Creative Director – Art

About the Role

As an Associate Creative Director – Art (ACD), you will bring big ideas to life through forward-thinking design. Working across all platforms from TV commercial, digital and content and experience, the role of an ACD is to manage the unified vision of an advertising campaign. In addition to developing the look and feel of our clients’ campaigns, you will also be crafting their initial concepts. We’re looking for an energetic creative who eats client briefs for breakfast, with an eye for design and an ear for what’s trending. A resident ad nerd who knows what’s on the front page of Adweek before we do, you can cite design influences and know your favorite commercial by heart.

You will join a Creative Director team who will mentor you and help stretch your creativity across a range of clients in a fast-paced and challenging environment. As part of this role, you will support the creative journey from initial presentation building to finalizing mechanicals on the layouts before they ship to a billboard near you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop creative ideas and concepts in partnership with a Copywriter.
  • Create and implement the visual design components of an advertising campaign.
  • Produce designs for campaigns that reflect the client’s needs and target audience.
  • With guidance and direction, work across all content platforms from TV commercials, print, digital, social, and experiential.
  • Stay in the know of what’s happening in the industry, popular culture and trends.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Art/ Graphic Design, Communications or related visual design.
  • Demonstrable experience in Art Direction working within the creative industry.
  • A strong working knowledge and experience of design, brand development and the creative process.
  • Knowledge and understanding of creative copywriting, layouts, graphic fundamentals and typography.
  • Strong technical skills including Macintosh, Quark X-press, Adobe Illustrator, scanning software, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Print and web design capabilities and an understanding of how to work in both media for integrated campaigns.
  • Thorough understanding of interactive communications, including the limitations of the web, UX design, Flash; and the ability to storyboard or translate ideas to designers and develop innovative motion graphics solutions.
  • Collaborative and curious to contribute to and foster a growing library of knowledge and best practices around creative work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to connect at all levels.
