Ahead of the July Fourth holiday—a beer sales bonanza that tops the Super Bowl—Miller Lite is teaming up with creative shops DDB and Alma as well as PR agency ICF Next to shine the spotlight on the women and non-binary people who have played crucial parts in the industry’s past and present.

As part of the program, the beer giant is releasing a limited-edition can sporting the image of Mary Lisle, who owned and operated a brewery in Philadelphia dating back to 1734. Part of a group referred to as “the Ale Wives,” Lisle is considered the first female commercial brewer in the colonies.
